Episode 22 - REAL. CHEDDAR. CHEESE.
August 22, 2008
Joell is back, bringing a cheese conundrum with him. Also, Sam and Bridget are broke.
We got some e-mails on this episode that felt that Sam’s rightous indignation was a little “over the top” in this episode. Little did they know that this is pretty much almost a verbatim transcription of something that happened to one of our crew, whose identity as a curmudgeon I’ll protect until the end… it was Jason.
Episode 21 - The Cranium Cafe
August 22, 2008
The Cranium Cafe, home to some of the finest coffee anywhere. Why I can smell the strong roasted notes of barista overacting, now. Actually the Cranium Cafe was a great bubble-tea place on the Danforth in Toronto called “Fusion” which, sadly, went out of business a couple of months ago. They had really good bubble-tea.
Oh yeah, also one of the most famous DED scenes ever. Whatever.
Episode 20 - Meanwhile, back at the advertising firm…
August 14, 2008
I think if people only take one life lesson from “Dead End Days” I hope they learn it here: When making a charitable donation - always get a receipt. More classic Evan / Garrett goodness.
It’s amazing what you can fix with duct-tape!
August 12, 2008
(Fingers crossed) all the various hoodoos, mojos, bad spirits, curses, and other daemons have been exorcised from the website and (possibly for the first time ever) the website and podcast feed now appear to both be working just peachy.
With any luck normal uninterrupted service can… not resume… occur for the first time ever, perhaps?
Thanks for sticking with us - lots of great Dead End Days to go!
Episode 19 - I know a shortcut.
August 12, 2008
Pretty much any time someone says “I know a shortcut” in a movie it’s a bad idea. Not so much here as it leads to the “punks”, and although they only appeared this one, short, time… I feel they’ve left us with something. Mostly a killer Clint Eastwood impression.
Episode 18 - Busted!
August 12, 2008
Any episode with Monopoly Video and/or Chad-the-manager in it is automatically awesome, but this one I love just a little bit more. Especially the art design. Why are all those posters posted feet from the floor? And blocking the door-way? What kind of half-assed operation are they running there anyway?
Episode 17 - The Big Date
August 12, 2008
Aww… a date montage, a catchy theme song, this episode is just two leg-warmers away from being a perfect 80s movie! For added laughs re-watch it knowing it was shot on what was, probably, the coldest day I’ve ever experienced in this province. Thrill to Erin and Chad’s youthful exuberance as they slowly freeze to death!
NOTE TO PODCAST VIEWERS: Our apologies for the recent problems with the podcast feed. We believe we’ve sorted out all the issues and will re-start a regular update schedule next week. In the event of future outages you can always check www.deadenddays.com for updates.
We apologize for the pictures - but the sound is excellent.
August 6, 2008
Hey all.
Something has gone mortally wrong with the podcast feed for the website - so until the weekend, episode 17 & 18 will be viewable in the lovely main page video viewer, but not on iTunes.
Our crack ninja-coders are working around the clock to fix this, by which I mean I’ve thrown up my hands until the weekend!
